 Accent- a contrast, outline or highlight for added detail and color enhancement.
 Antiquity Glass- blurred tempered glass.
 Bisque Glaze- bright-white glaze over an off- white background, usually found in the birch and maple species. 
 Complimentary Colors- two colors that compliment each other and appear opposite on the color wheel. 
 Distressing- factory technique that gives wood and older- aged look. 
 Engineered Wood- composed of wood fibers that are bonded with synthetic resins under heat and pressure to form boards.
 Flat Panel- a recessed center panel to a door or a drawer. 
 Full Overlay- cabinet door styles that cover most of the face frame. 
 Glaze- a coating that enhances wood color and tone.
 Hutch- a free standing furniture cabinet unit. Also know as China cabinets.
 Medium Fiber Density (MDF)- engineered wood with an extremely tight and smooth surface.
 Muslin- semi transparent finish usually used for oak, hickory, cherry, birch, and pine cabinets. 
 Recessed Doors- flat panel held inside the perimeter of the door. 
 Stain- an alternative to paint that is used to color and cover the surface of cabinets . 
 Thermofoil- 100% solid colored vinyl. It has a solid opaque coloration that is easy to clean and maintain.

Remember, these terms can be applied to bathroom cabinets as well. No matter what your project is, cabinets usually serve the same purpose in all rooms.
